Why this chart.
The Piano Notes Chart shows the layout of an 88-key keyboard with every note labeled. It's the visual reference that turns a sea of black-and-white keys into a navigable grid.
The pattern of two-and-three black keys repeats every octave. Once you see it, you can find any note on any keyboard: middle C is the C just left of the two-black-key group nearest the center; D is between the two black keys; E is to the right of them; the rest follows.
Color coding by note name helps your brain pattern-match faster. After a few weeks of playing with this chart pinned above your keyboard, the color-name association sticks even when the chart isn't there.
How to use it
Print at letter and tape it to the wall above your piano or keyboard. When you're learning a new song, refer to the chart to identify notes by name. After a few weeks, you won't need it.
