chords.lol uses privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages are useful and which need work. We do not sell your data, set cross-site tracking cookies, or run third-party advertising scripts.

We collect usage data that is not linked to your name or an account, with Vercel Analytics, Ahrefs Analytics and PostHog. PostHog keeps a random identifier in your browser's local storage (or only in memory, if local storage is unavailable) and sets no cookies. If your browser sends Do Not Track, PostHog does not load at all.

To find what the site is missing, we record your search terms and what you enter into our tools (chord notes, keys, tempos), again without linking them to your name or an account. Session replays hide what you type, and the places where a tool repeats it back to you. If something breaks, the error report contains a stack trace, not personal data.
